“...when the trumpeters and the singers were to make themselves heard with one voice to praise and to glorify the Lord, and when they lifted up their voice accompanied by trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and when they praised the Lord saying, ‘He indeed is good for His lovingkindness is everlasting,’ then the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.” (2 Chronicles 5 v 13-14)
“...you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” (1 Peter 2 v 5)
In recent months the Lord has been speaking to us about being “ministers to Him” before anything else, and that any other ministry we have to each other and to the world will flow out of that. Jesus said that the greatest commandment is to “love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.”, and then to love our neighbours.
We believe that God is preparing His church to really be the “house of God”, His dwelling place. And that He is coming, not just for a visitation but to live in His house, As we give ourselves to being a “kingdom of priests” and ministering to Him then He will come and fill the house with His glory!
Let’s come together with the aim of praising and worshipping our wonderful God, we believe that as we do that He will grace us with His presence and His glory. We can then become “glory carriers” who take His presence everywhere we go until the whole earth is filled with “the knowledge of the glory of the Lord.”
