Visit of Pastor Kitiibwa Joseph
During the summer of 2008 we had a visit from Pastor Kitiibwa Joseph. He and his wife Jannet lead the "Compassion and Power" church in Seeta, Uganda and were introduced to us by Keith & Charlotte Shackleton who have made several mission trips to Uganda in recent years.
When he was first called to preach, the congregation consisted only of his wife and small children! This little family faithfully continued in what the Lord had called them to do and they now lead a church of between 80 and 100 people and have been blessed with a building where they can meet together to worship and serve the local community. On Christmas day 2007, during Keith & Charlotte's last visit, the church provided a free meal to around 200 people.
Pastor Kitiibwa was in the UK for two weeks and we were privileged to have him come and speak at one of our house group meetings. He shared a powerful and encouraging word on the questions that Abraham asked God ("What will You give me?" and "How may I know?") and the wonderful and gracious way that God answered him.
We were all blessed and encouraged by the visit and we look forward to more contact with our brothers and sisters in Christ who live in Uganda.
