Glory in the House Conference 2008
The last week of October of 2008 saw our fourth conference when we met together to worship the Lord and hear what He had to say to us. Each conference is different but we are always blessed by the goodness of God as He comes to meet with us and grace us with His wonderful presence.
Dennis & Lynnie Walker, Mike Grimshaw and Wendell McGowan came from the United States to minister, and were accompanied by Christian & Carina Oeschner. Christian and Carina are originally from Germany but now live in Las Vegas and are part of the Dunamis team. Following the conference here Dennis, Lynnie, Christian & Carina spent the weekend with our friends from The Well Church in Rochdale before flying to Germany where they held meetings in four different places. We were also privileged to have Jean & Evangeline Baichere with us, they lead a church in Paris, France.
In addition to the afternoon and evening sessions that were held throughout the week, we also had a baptism on Thursday morning. We are very grateful to St. Thomas's Church in Kendal who kindly loaned us their baptismal pool for the week.
It's always good to be able to spend time with old friends and there are many who only have the opportunity to get together at gatherings like this. As well as the ones mentioned above people also came from all over the UK and Ireland. This conference was a time of "re-connections", some of the people who came we had not seen since 1985!
At the end of the last meeting on Friday night we had a "commissioning" when we anointed and prayed and prophesied over everyone so that we would all be sent out in the power of the Holy Spirit to put in to practise what we had seen and heard during the week. We believe that our everyday lives should be impacted by the presence of God and that it's not just for special gatherings. If you have any testimonies of what God has done in or through you please let us know so that we can share them and encourage others.
We make no charges for attending the conferences and all of the expenses are always covered. The Lord is always faithful! Thanks to all who listened to the prompting of the Holy Spirit and gave from the heart, the offering on Thursday evening was the largest we have ever received! Thanks also to all those who did all of the "backroom" jobs which are usually unseen but essential for the smooth running of the conference, God bless you!
